SKIPPERVIRTUALE
A service which starts even before setting sail and continues during the cruise or transfer until the boat
is safely moored at the arrival point.
information and advice is supplied on request throughout the navigation.
Assistance is supplied by phone, text messages or email and includes:
- weather forecast, updated daily (wind and sea state for both sail and motor), but most importantly read and relayed to be of use to those navigating, paying attention to local conditions.
- choice of routes and stopovers: each crew has its own needs, desires, and capabilities, all depending on the boat and crew experience. SKIPPERVIRTUALE proposes routes, anchorages, safe havens, ports as ‘dictated’ by the weather but also by the crew’s approach (laid-back cruising or something more “sportive) so as to find the right balance between enjoyment and safety.
- boat handling tips and advice: when required we can also provide advice on skippering the boat and specific manoeuvres.
Detailed information (local conditions, detailed sea state, onshore facilities) for the following areas:
Bocche di Bonifacio and La Maddalena Archipelago, Corsica, northern Sardinia, Elba and Tuscan Archipelago, north and central Tyrrhenian.
The rest of the Mediterranean is also covered, but the weather and routeing information is of a more general and “normal” nature.
SKIPPERVIRTUALE operates on a fixed limit of 20 boats per day to guarantee the maximum in service.
